1)    After School Program – Wednesdays from 2:30 PM until church service begins.  You do not have to be available the entire time, just sign up for the time you are available and Stacy or Ricky will plug you in.

2)    World Vision Sponsors Needed: Dan Williams goal for HC was to change 25 children’s lives forever through World Vision in the month of January. We have fallen short of our goal by about 17. For $35/month you provide clean water, food, clothing and basic necessities for a child. Education becomes a reality when clothing and school supply needs are met. Salvation becomes possible when children are taught about Jesus. Moreover, monies are pooled together and entire communities are changed for little more than $1/day.  3)    Food Pantry – Approximately 5 families need assistance with food every week 

a.    Bring non-perishable food to fill our shelves. Publix has buy 1 get 1 free deals every week. Couponmom.com has printable coupons that Publix will double up to $0.50.

b.    You can print out coupons online and leave on the food shelf in the sanctuary for someone else to use that has time to shop.

Local Opportunities

1)    Central Primary School

a.    Volunteers Needed – Through the Hope Initiative Zone 4 ministry, HC is partnered with Central Primary School. Currently they are in need of volunteers for 1 hour or more per week. We will have to undergo a training class and the principal said there is an opportunity for everyone (not just teachers). She wants to schedule a training class so we can start the New Year off right. Anyone interested please sign up and don’t worry because we will all learn together.

a.    Volunteers Needed – They offer free healthcare to qualified recipients. Volunteers are always needed because everything is free to the patients. Training is available and you do not need to be in the health care industry. Anyone interested please sign up and I (Jamie Casey) will personally take the journey with you.

b.    They always need funding.

3)    Victory Harvest Center  – They offer Christ Centered Freedom from addiction, 20 week discipleship program, and restoration of life.

a.    Volunteers Needed – They need help at the thrift store

b.    Donations – Buy or Donate Goods at the thrift store. (This helps with expense)

c.     Immediate Needs – Funding for a women’s home (right now they only have a men’s home). They need $5,000 to get the women’s home started.

d.    Partnering – You can partner with them for $25.00 a month to supply a steady income for the ministry.

Global Opportunities

1)    Evangelical Mission for India (EMFI) – “Reaching the unreached and telling the untold”

a.    Current Needs – funding for a new school – They have 1 year to pay off the $32,000 debt. Please help with all our fundraisers to promote this ministry.

2)    Haiti – HC will be taking volunteers to Haiti sometime in the next year. We had planned a trip in July but will be re-scheduling and during the planned week we will work here in Tuscaloosa to help with tornado relief and clean-up.

a.    Once in Haiti the ministry opportunities include: Construction, Painting, VBS, Evangelism, Medical, Surgical, Dental, Elderly Program, Preaching, Nutritional Program, Kitchen, Deaf School, Birthing Center, Orphanage, and Miriam Center (Special Needs Center)

b.    Needs – Volunteers to go or financial help to send someone
